Resan till Tropea genomf\u00f6rs i samarbete med Solresor<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jag har k\u00f6rt l\u00e5ngt idag. L\u00e4ngs s\u00f6dra Italiens stolthet, A3, den enda moderna v\u00e4g som sk\u00e4r igenom landet. Visar l\u00e5ngfingret mot alla de tusentals halsbrytande serpentinv\u00e4garna som sjavar p\u00e5 d\u00e4r nedanf\u00f6r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Pentedattilo\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Anl\u00e4nder till Pentedattilo, l\u00e4ngst i s\u00f6der p\u00e5 Italiens t\u00e5spets. Pentedattilo \u00e4r sp\u00f6kstaden som \u00f6vergivits pga sitt enskilda och sv\u00e5rtillg\u00e4ngliga l\u00e4ge. Parkerar bilen och vandrar l\u00e5ngsamt upp mot staden som kl\u00e4ttrar p\u00e5 bergskanten framf\u00f6r mig.  Det ser, inte f\u00f6rv\u00e5nande \u00f6de ut. Solen gassar, en hund sk\u00e4ller i fj\u00e4rran fr\u00e5n den \u00e4nnu levande byn l\u00e5ngt d\u00e4r nedanf\u00f6r. I \u00f6vrigt \u00e4r allt tyst och stilla, denna v\u00e5rs\u00f6ndag p\u00e5 italienska landsbygden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pl\u00f6tsligt h\u00f6rs motorljud. En vit BMW sladdar f\u00f6rbi mig p\u00e5 grusv\u00e4gen. V\u00e4nder n\u00e5gonstans d\u00e4r uppe, kommer ner igen med samma fart. Tv\u00e4rbromsar in i en parkering precis framf\u00f6r mina f\u00f6tter. F\u00f6raren som ser min f\u00f6rskr\u00e4ckta min viftar avv\u00e4rjande med h\u00e4nderna d\u00e4r inne. \u201dIngen fara\u201d, tror jag att de s\u00e4ger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ut hoppar en svart man i pr\u00e4stkrage och lila skjorta. Jag vet inte vilken av de tv\u00e5 delarna av hans uppenbarelse som f\u00f6rv\u00e5nar mig mest. En pr\u00e4st som k\u00f6r s\u00e5 v\u00e5ldsamt. Och de svarta m\u00e4n jag hittills tr\u00e4ffat i Kalabrien har s\u00e5lt saronger och armband p\u00e5 stranden i Tropea. Inte k\u00f6rt BMW i \u00f6de bergsbyar if\u00f6rda pr\u00e4stkragar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mannen s\u00e4tter av igen uppf\u00f6r backen till fots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jag hinner faktiskt gl\u00f6mma bort honom. Jag har ju en sp\u00e4nnande sp\u00f6kstad att uppt\u00e4cka. F\u00f6rfallna hus. Igenv\u00e4xta gator. Raserade balkonger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Men det g\u00e5r inte mer \u00e4n n\u00e5gon minut innan tystnaden klyvs p\u00e5 mitten. Luften, sp\u00f6kstaden och s\u00f6ndagen fylls pl\u00f6tsligt av h\u00f6g d\u00e5nande psalms\u00e5ng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jag har sett ett kyrktorn h\u00f6gst upp i staden och styr nu mina steg dit. Kyrkan \u00e4r \u00f6ppen och inte det minsta f\u00f6rfallen, utan inredd med b\u00e4nkar, altare och utsmyckningar. I dag till br\u00e4dden fylld av scouter i sina uniformer. Vuxna, ungdomar och barn som sjunger psalmer tillsammans med \u201dmin” pr\u00e4st.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

K\u00e4nner mig lite som en italiensk version av Edith S\u00f6dergran faktiskt. \u201dJag s\u00f6kte en \u00f6de sp\u00f6kstad, men fann en missionspastor\u201d. Inte kan jag v\u00e4l bli besviken?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
