Dag 2 p\u00e5 en flerdagsvandring kan vara lite lurig. Dagen n\u00e4r den d\u00e4r golden-retriever-entusiasmen fr\u00e5n dag 1 lagt sig lite. Och n\u00e4r man kr\u00e4nger p\u00e5 sig utrustningen k\u00e4nner man hur \u00f6m man \u00e4r. P\u00e5 h\u00f6ftbenet, nyckelbenet och axlarna efter ryggs\u00e4cken. Kanske om man har otur att f\u00f6tterna \u00f6mmar lite ocks\u00e5. Kroppen har heller \u00e4nnu inte anpassat sig och byggt de d\u00e4r vandringsmusklerna som kommer efter n\u00e5gra dagar.
Det g\u00e5r lite, lite tr\u00f6gt, helt enkelt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vi ska idag f\u00e5 en transfer tillbaka till Porthcothan d\u00e4r vi slutade ig\u00e5r. Vi har f\u00e5tt h\u00e4mtningstiden 09:30, som vi tycker \u00e4r v\u00e4l sent f\u00f6r en upph\u00e4mtning. Det inneb\u00e4r ju att sj\u00e4lva vandringen inte kan b\u00f6rja f\u00f6rr\u00e4n 10:00. Vi har f\u00f6rs\u00f6kt mejla dem som k\u00f6r om att tidigarel\u00e4gga tiden, men f\u00e5tt svaret att de i sin tur har lejt bort denna k\u00f6rning till en annan kille och inte tar n\u00e5got ansvar f\u00f6r den. Hm. N\u00e5v\u00e4l.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Det visar sig i alla fall att denna andra kille, det \u00e4r ju samma som h\u00e4mtade upp oss eftermiddagen innan, s\u00e5 vi passade p\u00e5 att fr\u00e5ga honom d\u00e5. Men nej, han har ju en annan k\u00f6rning precis innan, s\u00e5 han tror tv\u00e4rt om att han kanske blir 10-15 minuter sen. Men ska f\u00f6rs\u00f6ka skynda sig lite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vi sitter \u00e4nd\u00e5 och v\u00e4ntar p\u00e5 utsatt tid. S\u00e5na \u00e4r vi nu en g\u00e5ng. Men killen blir inte 15 minuter sen, han blir 35 minuter sen. Stress, f\u00f6r vi ser ju p\u00e5 v\u00e4derappen, att \u00e4ven om det \u00e4r sol nu, ska dimma komma in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10:35 allts\u00e5, kan vi \u00e4ntligen starta. Solen skiner och Porthcothan sjuder av badliv och soldyrkare. Vi kl\u00e4ttrar upp\u00e5t l\u00e4ngs klippan v\u00e4ster om stranden. Samma landskap som ig\u00e5r. Dramatiska klippor mot havet. B\u00f6ljande \u00e4ngar \u00e5t andra h\u00e5llet. Det \u00e4r mycket folk ute l\u00e4ngs leden en s\u00e5n h\u00e4r dag och njuter f\u00f6rst\u00e5s. Vi ocks\u00e5. Njuter och stressar samtidigt. F\u00f6r som sagt, dimma kommer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mycket riktigt, en och en halv timme in p\u00e5 vandringen sveper den in. Vi vandrar ner mot Mawgan Porth d\u00e4r vi hittar en salladslunch. Vandrar sedan vidare i dimman. Sista 3 kilometrarna av vandringen g\u00e5r genom Newquays f\u00f6rorter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Om man har sin bena p\u00e5 v\u00e4ster sida, men tillbringar 7 dagar med att vandra med havet p\u00e5 h\u00f6ger sida? Jo d\u00e5 ser man ut som Mr Collins i h\u00e5ret (BBC-versionen f\u00f6r guds skull)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Pl\u00f6tsligt ser vi det. Ett Tea house! H\u00e4r serveras Cream Tea. Vi ser v\u00e5r chans att f\u00f6rgylla v\u00e5r dimvandring n\u00e5got med lite h\u00e4rligt fika och stannar. Vi f\u00e5r scones direkt fr\u00e5n ugnen och clotted cream<\/em>, dvs tjock gr\u00e4dde, p\u00e5 gr\u00e4nsen till sm\u00f6r, gjord p\u00e5 ohomogeniserad mj\u00f6lk, samt hallonsylt till. Cream Tea, en k\u00e4r tradition i denna, den sydv\u00e4stra delen av England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dag 2 blev allts\u00e5 en relativt kort vandringsdag som tyv\u00e4rr lite f\u00f6rst\u00f6rdes av en sen h\u00e4mtning p\u00e5 hotellet. H\u00f6jdpunkten blev f\u00f6rutom det initialt fina v\u00e4dret, v\u00e5r h\u00e4rliga Cream Tea p\u00e5 eftermiddagen.
S\u00e5 kan det ocks\u00e5 g\u00e5 p\u00e5 vandring ibland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dagens vandring gick fr\u00e5n Porthcothan till Newquay. Den var 17 kilometer l\u00e5ng, 247 meter upp och 232 meter ner. Vi gick vandringen p\u00e5 5,5 timmar inklusive raster och Cream Tea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
